Types of MLM Companies and Compensation Plans

There are literally hundreds of MLM Companies to choose from!

They each have their own niches to try and stand out from the rest. This page is not designed to tell you which is better or worse (that is what you need to decide for yourself). If, after reading the information contained within, you would like to know which Company and/or Compensation Plan I prefer, please feel free to e-mail me and we can discuss it. My major concern here is to try and enlighten you on the vast number of "opportunities" that are available to you.

The two main differences between Companies, is whether they are product based or service based. Whether the Company is product based or service based, you still make money from your customers' usage and the usage of the customers of the people you "sponsor."

Compensation Plans are a little trickier than Companies. There are six different types of Compensation Plans available today.

They are as follows:

• Break-Away--the people you sponsor can actually pass you by in income and you would no longer receive money from their efforts.
• Uni-Level--the people you sponsor stay in your downline and generate money for you-there is no limit on width, there is a limit on depth.
• Binary--you end up with two "legs" in your downline-you get paid from the efforts of your strongest "leg."
• Matrix--similar to Uni-Level, but you can only sponsor so many people wide and so many people deep.
• Australian (Two-Up)--the people you sponsor get sent two people "up" in your organization and the people they sponsor eventually get passed "up" to you.

The sixth type of Compensation Plan tends to be a conglomerate of any of the above.

Like many things in life, you cannot always have everything just as you would like it. This is a fact of life! So it is with MLM. You may find a Company you would feel comfortable representing but may not like the Compensation Plan. You may also decide from this page that you like a specific Compensation Plan but in turn aren't crazy about the Company that utilizes that specific Plan. As with most things, you have to pick the opportunity that best suits you. If you pick a Company you like and work the Plan the way your "sponsor" shows you, you will still make money. You may not be crazy about the Compensation Plan the Company has chosen, but you can still achieve financial independence.
